Galapagos Islands, Oct 2010

Join us on an extraordinary week-long trip to the Galapagos Islands.

Experience Level

This trip is only open to full members.

About the Diving

Diving in the Galapagos Islands is a bit more challenging than your average holiday destination, but should pose no particular problems for those used to diving in BC.

Temperatures in October should be approx. 70-75F/21-25C, too cold for a 3mm wetsuit. A drysuit with light underwear (eg Polartec 100 or 200) would be very comfortable.

Currents can be swift - drift dives of 1-3 knots are the norm at many sites. Divers need to be comfortable in such conditions, and able to conduct safe blue-water ascents.

Visibility is usually quite good: one can reliably expect 50-70ft viz, and 100ft+ is possible.
